The finished cardboard set.

On Friday our cardboard set was used for filming, it was amazing to see everything set up, nicely lit and in use for a music video!

This has been such a fantastic project to work on, thank you to everyone who came to the workshops to help us build this set. I can't wait to see the video now!

Full house.

For the past couple of weeks I've been lost in cardboard land, building 4 rooms worth of cardboard furniture and decoration. With Albino Mosquito I've been set building and helping to run some crafty workshops. Thanks to everyone who has come down to help, the set is looking great!

There is one final workshop on Tuesday 13 December. 10 until 6, pop down to Zion and have a dose of cardboard craft - http://www.albinomosquito.com/2011/11/workshop-for-set-designers-sculptors-and-3d-artists/

First school workshop

Over the past two weeks I've been running artists workshops in a Salford primary school. It's been great to get the kids involved in making and designing drums, look at the nifty white stripes pattern drum.

A small selection of the kid's drums -

Budweiser crate shoes

My beer crate shoes are generating a lot of interest. With hopes of sending more to a gallery (more on that later hopefully) I've created one more pair of beer crate shoes.

Design briefs

I'm on the lookout for new cardboard briefs (illustration ones, not those ^). Whether it's design mags with calls for submissions, one off commissions or full projects I'm on the lookout for you. Or let me know :)

Smart/scruffy shoes

A quick update on my 'smart shoes'. This should be the last pair in this style for a while (I think).

Gibson Les Paul guitar

Gibson Les Paul made out of Budweiser beer crates and cardboard, to match the beer crate shoes. I'd love to make a full band's worth!

A cardboard Canon

I love the look of cameras, I'm going to be making a few more, from polaroid to DSLR.

This one is a Canon DSLR with a 70-200mm L series lens (you can tell because it has a red rubber band on the end!)

Some iconic cameras to follow sometime soon.

Scruffy trainers

I found some nice blue cardboard and thought they'd be great on a pair of trainers, slightly scruffier than my previous beer crate shoes though!

My name up in cardboard

Time for a change of website and blog header ^^

Pairs of smart shoes

A quick update on what I've been getting up to. Mass producing shoes from all sorts of cardboard! I have to say the beer crate shoes are my favourite at the moment (and not just because of the purchase and consumption of beer to get the crates!).

Who wants a pair?

Sheriff hat and six shooter gun

My lovely girlfriend needed a hat for a Chinese karaoke hen night (sounds great, right?). I had great fun making her these!
